This delicious Christmas treat is an easy recipe and only takes 10 minutes to prepare. It also contains nuts which are a good source of protein and iron in pregnancy.

Merry Christmas from the team at Dr Morris!

  • 750g Christmas pudding or fruitcake (fruitcake is a lighter less rich option)
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 30g butter
  • 200g white chocolate, chopped
  • small pack glace cherries red and green to decorate
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Break up Christmas pudding or fruitcake in a bowl. Place dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan half filled with simmering water. Stir until ingredients melt together and mixture is smooth.

Combined melted chocolate to cake/pudding mix, stir to combine. Add almonds and walnuts to mixture.

Roll approx. a tablespoon size of mixture into balls and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Transfer to fridge to chill for 45 mins.

Place white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan half filled with simmering water and stir until melted and smooth. Drizzle melted chocolate over puddings and decorate with small slices of glacé cherries.
